The Best Avocado Chocolate Pudding

With rich, chocolaty flavor and 5 healthy ingredients, this 5-minute chocolate pudding is a winning recipe for kids and adults alike.

Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 avocados (W)
  • ¼ cup milk plus more as needed for consistency (W)
  • 1 Tbs. cacao powder plus more as needed for flavor
  • 1 Tbs. maple syrup plus more as needed for flavor
  • Dash vanilla

Instructions
 

  • In a food processor or blender, add all ingredients. Process until smooth.

Notes

  • For toddlers, I would start out with one tablespoon of each cacao and maple syrup and gradually increase the flavors as needed.
  • Older kids (ages 3+) may prefer more sweetness. Some kids may prefer 2-3 Tbs. of cacao and maple syrup.
  • Ingredients with a “W” next to them are WIC-eligible items. WIC is the supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children in the United States. It provides food to families with pregnant or postpartum women and young children. WIC-eligible items will vary based on location.
