Does chocolate avocado pudding taste like avocado?
The avocado makes this dish filling and creamy, but don’t worry if avocado is not your favorite flavor. The cacao does a good job of masking the avocado flavor in this chocolate pudding.
For adults and older kids who do not want the pudding to taste like avocado, you may need to increase the amount of cacao or sweetener used in the recipe.
Avocado chocolate pudding is a great option for kids and families. Kids love the chocolaty flavor and parents are happy to introduce their kids and toddlers to avocado.
Avocados contain B vitamins, like vitamin B6 and pantothenic acid. They are also a source of monounsaturated fat, which is good for kids because it helps to fuel their bodies.
We don’t recommend trying to hide the avocado in your chocolate avocado pudding to get your toddler or picky eater to eat it. Hiding foods can often make picky eating worse.

For toddlers, I would start out with one tablespoon of each cacao and maple syrup and gradually increase the flavors as needed.
Older kids (ages 3+) may prefer more sweetness. Some kids may prefer 2-3 Tbs. of cacao and maple syrup.
