“I remember the exact moment the pediatrician told me my son wasn’t gaining weight. I can still feel my stomach sinking.”

I created the PLUS method after 12 years of high-calorie cooking for my own son, who was flagged for poor weight gain at 9 months old. That day began years of brainstorming, recipe experimenting, calorie calculating, and yes, burnout.

There weren’t — and still aren’t — good resources to take much of the load off parents when it comes to high-calorie cooking. This workshop is as personal as it gets. My son eats Triple-Flour Loaded Pancakes (same recipe from the workshop) from the freezer every morning. My mom and I wrote the special recipes for the workshop. My mom went through something similar with my brother, and she helped create these recipes.
