Tips for Serving Pumpkin Oatmeal to Picky Eaters
Try small portions
For selective toddlers and kids, a normal, adult-sized serving of a new dish may be intimidating. Instead, we suggest offering a small, bite-sized portion, called a micro portion, to picky kids.
Serve a deconstructed version
If your picky child has a hard time with mixed dishes, you can serve this oatmeal without the raisins or with the raisins on the side.
Avoid pressure
We know it’s hard when your fussy child chooses not to eat food you served, especially when you went out of your way to make them some wholesome and nourishing. Still, the best way to get your toddler to eat this pumpkin pie oatmeal is to avoid pressuring them to eat it. Putting pressure on kids to eat usually backfires and can create more issues than it solves.
